Even When I'm Aching is a song that came out of the pandemic year of 2020. A hard year for everyone, this song came out of some serious personal pain and hopelessness. I always try to see the light in the darkest times, and 2020 really challenged that. My partner was diagnosed with breast cancer at the same time the country shut down, and it really tested my ability to see things in a positive light. As I had to watch her go through treatment in isolation due to covid, it made my love and admiration for her grow even more. This is a love song.
